Being a leader in any capacity is not an easy task that’s why not everyone is eager to do so. And the truth of the matter is, not everyone is capable. Some of us are meant to support the leader, assist the leader or simply follow their lead. Remember with leadership comes prestige but equally burdens are attached as well. Some people jump into the role simply because they seek position or power that follows but they don’t take on all the responsibilities of leading. Some may be placed in a role without seeking the position. However one gets there, leadership requires much discipline and integrity while also demanding compassion and impartiality. This holds true whether you are a parent, an educator, a clergy member, a business owner or a political figure.
Leadership is difficult because the concerns and decisions affect many. It confirms the old saying, “what you do affects more than just you” therefore anyone who has not learned that childhood lesson and does not implement it in their decision-making process, well… that person should not be in the position of being a leader. However, because we are all students of life, when we are place under the leadership of someone who may not effectively and efficiently fulfill their role, we know who can make the necessary changes within that person to equip them to do better. GOD! We personally cannot change a person’s mindset, behavior or beliefs, but God certainly can.

Whether it’s the leader, a spouse, a child or parent, or team member, when we pray for them and for the situation or relationship, God can and will make the necessary adjustments. One thing to know though, it may possibly be your own personality requiring adjustments to make the thing work so be open to God’s changes, especially when He’s doing a work in you. As stated, we are all students of life and God is always available to help us to grow closer to Him and closer to becoming the person He created us to be.
Pray for others, pray for all situations, and pray for God to show you any area of your life that requires adjustments while He adjusts the rest. Favor and Blessings flow from your humbleness.
