Life is full of ups and downs, and as Christians, we are not exempt from challenges. John 16:33:  I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace.  In the world you will have tribulation.  But take heart; I have overcome the world.  Jesus is telling us, “Yes troubles and tough times will come so do not be surprised by it and do not let it bother you so much that your faith in me is altered.  Know that I am in it with you, and it is all working out in a way that you will gain something from it. (Romans 8:28: And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them). This fight is fixed so just walk with me.”  Amidst trials, we have an unshakable foundation in Christ, a source of hope, strength, and encouragement that sustains us every day.

The Bible is filled with promises from God that remind us of His faithfulness, and these are promises we can count on. Isaiah 41:10 says, ‘So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed (discouraged, distraught, disappointed) for I am your God.  I will strengthen you and help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”  This means God will enable us and help us to go through those difficult situations and will bring us safely to the end of it.  When He is saying I will uphold you, this is reassurance that the situation will not break us, will not destroy us, will not get the best of us because His grace and love will sustain us and help us to endure the troubles.

When life feels overwhelming, situations are building, times are getting harder and harder, take some time to remember these promises.  Meditate on them and let it fuel your flame every second of every day until the trouble ceases and you see clear skies again.  God is always with us, always fighting our battles and holding us in His care.  To see the evidence of it, we must believe in the Promise Keeper through the hardships.
