He thought I was worth dying for…

As we have recently celebrated Resurrection Sunday, Easter Sunday, my heart still sways as if standing in a cool breeze. That’s a peace and a feeling of gratefulness. To sit and reflect on the purpose of the Life of Jesus Christ and the true meaning of the Resurrection, one can only bow in humbleness. God sacrificed his son for the salvation of humanity, to allow us eternal life with him.

John 3:16-17, For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world,

but that the world through Him might be saved.

This is truly the greatest gift one could give. There is no other love of this magnitude. To think someone who was totally blameless, pure in every way suffered the torture of Calvary to give me the opportunity for eternal life knowing that I would in no way ever be blameless, flawless, nor sinless. He did for me what no other could. It’s not possible to reflect on this fact without overflowing with gratitude.

Can you imagine knowing this plight and still following through til the end, even after you have lived this life and experienced the evil nature and behavior of those you will suffer for. Would you do it? Could you do it? The whole purpose of His life was to live, suffer and die so that we might be saved from ourselves. He rose on the 3rd day to seal the promise. Amen.
