"Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful." — Joshua 1:8 (NIV)

Meditation on God’s Word is more than just reading—it is dwelling on His truth, letting it shape our thoughts, and applying it to our lives. When God commanded Joshua to meditate on His Word day and night, He was teaching him the key to strength, wisdom, and success. The same is true for us today.

Meditating on Scripture means taking time to reflect on its meaning, praying over it, and allowing it to transform our hearts. We do this by reading a passage slowly, repeating it, and considering how it applies to our lives. As we internalize God’s Word, it renews our minds, strengthens our faith, and guides our decisions.

When we meditate on Scripture, we shift our focus from worldly worries to God’s promises. His Word becomes a source of peace, direction, and encouragement. The more we dwell on it, the more it becomes a part of us, leading us to live in obedience and confidence in Him.

Prayer:

Father, teach me to meditate on Your Word daily. Help me not just to read it, but to truly understand and apply it. Let Your truth guide my thoughts, strengthen my faith, and draw me closer to You.

Thank you Lord, In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
