Do you know the story of Job? Job was a man who loved and served God with unwavering faith. One day God had a conversation with Satan about Job. Satan wanted to prove to God that if God would remove the hedge of protection from around Job, he could make Job curse God. So, God allowed Satan to attack Job. He killed his children, took all of Job’s riches and attacked Job’s body with grave illness. Yet Job never cursed God. He endured all the devil hit him with, still believing in the God he served.

Job is an inspiration to us all, not only to trust God with unwavering faith but to endure whatever life throws at us. Sometimes God will allow Satan to hit us from all sides. It’s not that He has turned away from us nor has he left us. Sometimes those attacks are simply to build us up and strengthen our faith, while producing another testimony of His faithfulness. Remember after Job endured all Satan did, God blessed him with more than he had before.

It’s hard to go through some things, especially when we don’t know or understand what’s going on. We tend to get angry, frustrated and even discouraged. But when we are hit with difficulties, that’s the time we need to really stand firm on our faith in God. This is when we need to praise God more than ever to prove our faith and God’s faithfulness. The thing to know is when Satan attacks from all sides, it’s a sure sign of his desperation. His desperation simply means there are great things in store for you that he does not want you to obtain. Keep in mind, the spirits of darkness do not put up effort against anyone who is not a threat to their plans of destruction. If you are under attack, you are a threat and just as with Job, they want to try to make you curse God. Therefore, you must fight, fight and keep fighting by trusting and believing in God’s word, God’s promises and all God is. Find those promises that empower you and encourage you moment by moment. Even if you do not know many bible scriptures, there is one that can fuel you every time you are in battle. Psalm 35: 1-2 Contend, O Lord, with those who contend with me;Fight against those who fight against me. Take hold of buckler and shield and rise up for my help. Read it and repeat it as often as you need to, speaking it with all belief that God will do just that. Soon you will see God’s promise revealed and you will have another testimony to share that will encourage someone else through their fight.
