Philippians 4: 6,7

6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;

7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Don’t get nervous or worry about it, just ask, express your thankfulness and relax. This is what God instructs us. When we worry or stress about things, it does not propel us forward into a favorable place. Worry stops the move of God because in worrying, you are indicating you don’t trust God to handle your situation. Rather than trusting Him, you are trying to figure it out yourself and worry creeps in. God encourages us to not get so caught up in our thoughts about any situation that we fall into a state of worry. Rather than doing that, He wants us to pray and ask Him to help us or to provide what is needed then Thank Him for doing exactly that. He says just ask for what you need and for what you want. Because we know He has all power to do exceedingly abundantly above all we can imagine, go ahead and Thank Him while you are asking. Thanking Him indicates you know your prayer is being answered. Gratitude goes a long way and God appreciates your thankful heart. Then He says, after you have prayed, asked, and shown gratitude, you will feel the peace that comes from trusting Him to work it all out.

The next time you find yourself nervous or worried about something, stop and remember you don’t have to be. To remedy your situation, take a few minutes to talk with God about it. Ask Him to help you, show you, heal you, lead you, or whatever the situation calls for. Remember to thank Him for his presence, for His help and for His promise. When you do this and you truly mean what you say, no matter what the outcome is, you will feel the peace of God comforting and reassuring you every time. The outcome may not always be what you want it to be but it will always be the best outcome for you. As things unfold you will see why things happened as it did.

Prayer: Father, this situation I bring to you now. Please help me. It’s concerning me but I trust You Lord so I bring it to You. Help me to release my thoughts about it, my feelings about, and my fears about it all to you. Thank You Father for allowing me to leave it all here with you. Thank you, Father for loving me so much that I can give this to you with the assurance that You will take it and work it all out in they very best outcome for me. I am grateful for your love and I thank you Lord for being with me through it. Let your glory fall on this situation. In the holy name of Jesus Christ my Savior, Thank You. Amen.
